Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of chest physiotherapy in children patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods Fifty-six children patients with severe pneumonia and endotracheal intubation admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from June 2014 to December 2017 were enrolled, and they were randomly divided into observation group (n=28) and control group (n=28).The control group was treated with routine anti-infection and expectorant therapy, while the observation group was treated with respiratory tract management according to chest physiotherapy based on routine treatment.Blood pH,arterial partial pressure oxygen (PaO2),arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2),chest X-ray improvements, auscultation of lung, oxygen saturation of terminal vein, respiratory rate and hospitalization time in both two groups were observed individually, and the effects of different treatments were compared. Results The pH and PaO2 of arterial blood gas analysis in the observation group were higher than those of control group (P<0.05).PaCO2 in the observation group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05).After treatment, the time for improvement of chest X-ray,auscultation,oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with routine anti infection and expectorant therapy, chest physiotherapy can improve the blood gas results and various respiratory indexes of children, and can promote the recovery of patients. The chest physiotherapy has a good clinical effect and it is worth spreading.
