Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of point application combined with oral Chinese medicine in the treatment of dysmenorrhea. Methods A total of 93 patients with dysmenorrhea who were treated from March 2018 to December 2019 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were selected and divided into control group (n=46) and observation group (n=47) according to the random number table method. The control group was given oral Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction, while observation group was treated with point application (self-made dysmenorrhea paste)combined with oral Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction. The curative effect, prostaglandin and degree of pain were compared between the two groups. Results The efficacy of observation group was better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The peripheral prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) and peripheral prostaglandin F2α/prostaglandin E2 (PGF2α/PGE2) in observation group were lower than those in control group, while the PGE2 in the observation group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05).The score of visual analogue scale in observation group was lower than that in control group after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Point application combined with oral Chinese medicine in the treatment of dysmenorrhea can decrease the degree of pain, have benign regulative effect on the synthesis of prostaglandin, and increase curative effects.
