Abstract:Objective To assess the impact of health management assisted by smart phone application on bronchial asthma control and quality of life. Methods A total of 92 patients with stable bronchial asthma who visited the Outpatient Department of Longgang Central Hospital of Shenzhen from May to October 2020 were selected as the research subjects and divided into conventional management group(46 cases)and smart phone application group(46 cases)according to the random number table method. The conventional management group was given Budesonide Formoterol Powder Inhaler, precautions were informed, and follow-up was emphasized(1,3 and 6 months after treatment). On the basis of the conventional management group, the smart phone application group performed asthma management and follow-up assisted by smart phone applications.Patients established direct contact with the doctor's smart phone app through wechat, and the app regularly sent messages to remind patients to return visit and push popular science knowledge.Asthma control test(ACT),Leicester cough questionnaire(LCQ),asthma quality of life questionnaire(AQLQ),peak expiratory flow variability(PEFV),emergency department visits and unplanned hospitalizations during follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results ACT,LCQ and AQLQ scores of the smart phone application group were higher than those of the conventional management group after intervention, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The PEFV of the smart phone application group was lower than that of the conventional management group after intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the number of emergency visits and inpatients between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Implementing health management assisted smart phone app can reduce clinical symptoms, improve the control rate of bronchial asthma and improve the quality of life.
