Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of acupoint massage in the management of community essential hypertension. Methods A total of 200 patients with community essential hypertension treated in Shibaqiao Branch of Jingdezhen Second People′s Hospital from April 2020 to August 2021 were selected as subjects and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Western medicine, and the observation group was treated with acupoint massage on the basis of the treatment method of the control group. Both groups were followed up for 8 weeks. The standard rate of blood pressure control, blood pressure level, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The compliance rate of blood pressure in the observation group (97.00%) was higher than that in the control group (90.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the intervention, the scores of dizziness, headache, heavyness in the head, chest tightness,vomiting, sputum and saliva in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of physiological function, social function, somatic pain and overall health in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupoint massage can enhance the effect of blood pressure control and improve clinical symptoms and quality of life.
