Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of wrist ankle acupuncture on insomnia patients with chronic hepatitis B of liver depression and spleen deficiency type. Methods From April 10, 2020 to January 3, 2021, 100 patients who admitted to Shenzhen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine with chronic hepatitis B insomnia of liver depression and spleen deficiency type were selected as the research objects. They were divided into treatment group and control group by coin tossing method, with 50 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with liver protecting and enzyme reducing therapy and wrist ankle acupuncture, while the control group was treated with liver protecting and enzyme reducing therapy. Two weeks later, the efficacy, insomnia severity index (ISI) scale score, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and total bilirubin (TBil) levels in the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, ISI score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, ALT and AST in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in TBil between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Wrist and ankle needle application in chronic hepatitis B insomnia patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency can effectively improve insomnia, improve liver function, promote disease recovery, and the operation is simple and convenient, can be popularized in clinical application.
