Abstract:Objective To study the related risk factors of multiple organ failure after severe craniocerebral injury. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with severe craniocerebral injury admitted to Ji′an Hospital of Shanghai Dongfang Hospital from December 2018 to June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The occurrence of multiple organ failure was counted and the related risk factors were analyzed. Results The incidence of multiple organ failure in 80 patients with severe craniocerebral injury was 30.00%,and the mortality rate was 32.50%.Advanced age,GCS score of 3-5 points at admission, extensive brain injury, combined large organ injury, and concurrent infection, combined with chronic underlying diseases, brain herniation, and massive blood transfusion were risk factors for multiple organ failure after severe head injury, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The number of risk factors were the same as the incidence of multiple organ dysfunction, the number of organ dysfunction and mortality were positively correlated, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).In patients with multiple organ failure, the PCT levels of those with APACHE Ⅱscores of 0-10 points,>10-20 points, and >20 points were (4.30±1.16),(7.81±2.35),(10.91±3.82) μg/L,and the PCT level of the death group were higher than those of the survival group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion A variety of factors can lead to the occurrence of multiple organ failure after severe craniocerebral injury.Serum PCT levels can predict the occurrence, severity and prognosis of multiple organ failure.
