Abstract:[Abstract]Objective To systematically evaluate the expression and biological behavior of Rac1 protein in colorectal cancer (CRC).Methods Literatures were searched related to Rac1 protein and CRC from the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Wanfang,China Biology Medicine disc (CBM),PubMed,Google Scholar. The retrieval time was from January 1990 to November 2019.Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3.Results Finally, six literatures including 1011 cases were included. The expression rate of Rac1 protein in CRC was higher than that in normal tissues, with statistically significant difference (OR=79.97,95%CI 4.65-1374.11,P=0.003).The expression rate of Rac1 protein in stage Ⅰand Ⅱof CRC was lower than that in stage Ⅲand Ⅳ,with statistically significant difference (OR=0.26,95%CI 0.10-0.67,P=0.005).The expression rate of Rac1 protein in low differentiated cancer specimens was higher than that in high differentiated cancer specimens, with statistically significant difference(OR=2.51,95%CI 1.55-4.06,P=0.0002).The expression rate of Rac1 protein in CRC with lymph node metastasis was higher than that without lymph node metastasis, with statistically significant difference (OR=2.56,95%CI 1.36-4.82,P=0.004); and the expression rate of Rac1 protein in CRC with distant metastasis was higher than that without distant metastasis group, with statistically significant difference (OR=11.64,95%CI 5.71-23.70,P<0.000 01).Conclusion Rac1 protein expression is closely related to the occurrence and development, invasion and metastasis, prognosis and other biological behaviors of CRC.
