Objective To investigate the effect of Dexmedetomidine combined with Etomidate on the anesthetic effect in patients with gastric cancer undergoing general anesthesia. Methods A total of 88 patients who received general anesthesia for gastric cancer in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects, they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 44 patients in each group. The patients in the observation group were anesthetized with Dexmedetomidine combined with Etomidate, while the patients in the control group were anesthetized with Etomidate alone. The postoperative pain degree, cognitive function, and hemodynamic indicators of the two groups were compared. Results The visual analogue scale (VAS) score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The heart rate and diastolic blood pressure of two groups after medication were lower than those entered the room, and the heart rate and diastolic blood pressure of the observation group after medication were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Dexmedetomidine combined with Etomidate for gastric cancer patients undergoing general anesthesia has a good anesthetic effect, which can improve the degree of pain and the quality of recovery, and also maintain the stability of the patient′s hemodynamic indicators.
