Objective To investigate the effect of Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine and Sufentanil in epidural labor analgesia. Methods From June 2018 to June 2019, 93 cases of parturient analgesia in Puning People′s Hospital of Guangdong Province were selected as the research object. They were divided into group S (n=31), group D(n=31) and group DS (n=31) according to the random number table method. Group S received epidural infusion of 0.1%Ropivacaine +0.5 μg/ml Sufentanil. In group D, 0.1% Ropivacaine +0.5 μg/ml Dexmedetomidine was injected into the epidural space. In DS group, 0.1% Ropivacaine + 0.25 μg/ml Dexmedetomidine +0.25 μg/ml Sufentanil was injected into the epidural space. The visual analogue scale (VAS)scores of pre-anesthesia and 5,10,20,30,60,90 and 120 min after anesthesia (T0-T7), each labor process, Apgar score, cesarean section rate, adverse events, onset time of anesthesia, total dose of anesthesia and amount of single load pushing (bolus) were compared. Results VAS scores of T1-T7 in the three groups were lower than those of T0, and VAS scores of group DS at T1 and T3-T7 were lower than those of group S and group D,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in labor process, neonatal Apgar score and cesarean section rate among the three groups (P>0.05). The total incidence of adverse events in group DS was lower than that in group S, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.017). The onset time of anesthesia in group DS were shorter than those in group S and group D, the total dose of anesthesia were lower than those in group S and group D, and the bolus frequency was lower than that in group S and group D, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine and Sufentanil in epidural labor analgesia can shorten the onset time and improve the analgesic effect.
