Abstract：Objective To explore the construction and practical effect of outpatient pharmacy automation in Heyuan People′s Hospital.Methods From June 2019 to May 2020(before the automation of outpatient pharmacy),250 prescriptions data in manual general pharmacy of Heyuan People′s Hospital were selected as the control group,250 prescription data from June 2020 to May 2021(after outpatient pharmacy automation)were selected as the study group.The pharmacy prescription processing speed,storage capacity,drug management items,drug collection time and dispensing error rate were compared between the two groups.Results The prescription processing speed of the study group was faster than that of the control group,drug storage capacity was higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The time of drug taking in the study group was shorter than that in the control group,and the error rate of drug dispensing was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The construction of automatic information system in outpatient pharmacy can effectively reduce the occurrence of pure manual operations errors,faults and other events,rationally use the automatic system,improve the quality of pharmaceutical care,reduce the labor intensity of employees,and improve patient satisfaction,which is worthy of promotion.
