Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of intermittent tube feeding technique in patients with tracheotomy and dysphagia after stroke. Methods From January 2020 to May 2021, 61 patients with tracheotomy and dysphagia after atroke admitted to the People′s Hospital of Yunfu City in Guangdong Province were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group (30 cases) and the observation group (31 cases). The control group was given nutritional support by indwelling nasogastric tube nasal feeding, and the observation group was given oral intermittent tube feeding technique. The swallowing efficacy, nutritional status and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the total effective rate (93.55%) of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (66.67%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of body mass index (BMI), mid arm muscle circumference(MAMC), hemoglobin (Hb) and serum albumin (ALB) of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (9.68%) was lower than that in the control group (36.67%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Intermittent tube feeding technology can improve the swallowing efficacy of patients with post-stroke tracheotomy combined with dysphagia, improve nutritional status and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
