Traditional Chinese Medicine was born in ancient China. It was due to the contemporary characteristics of the time that numerous traditional Chinese medicine physicians adopted the philosophical approach of simple materialism from the macroscopic perspective of harmony between the heaven and human. From the holistic viewpoint of the human body, they conduct in-depth thinking and summarize both the health of human life and disease evolution, and therefore the unique and systematic traditional Chinese medicine theory has been formed. Chinese medicine has made a great contribution to the treatment of acute cerebral infarction and has benefited mankind. In order to clarify the research status of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of acute cerebral infarction in recent 5 years, this research reviewed and analyzed the literature on the treatment of acute cerebral infarction with traditional Chinese medicine in recent 5 years. Literature mainly came from CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and PubMed website.Cerebral infarction, ischemic stroke and traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the key words. Then the traditional Chinese medicine clinical literature of acute cerebral infarction was extracted and sorted out. Through combing and analyzing the literature on the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of acute cerebral infarction during recent five years, this article will further discuss the latest development in the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of acute cerebral infarction, and provide reference for the traditional Chinese medicine clinical practice of acute cerebral infarction, so as to improve the clinical treatment effect of acute cerebral infarction. In this study, it is found that the current research programs of Chinese medicine in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction are based on the comprehensive treatment of Chinese medicine on the basis of modern medicine, and there are few reports on the use of single characteristic treatment measures of Chinese medicine, and the research level is uneven.
