Abstract:Objective To study and analyze the application effect of Orem self-care theory in the nursing of patients with acute cerebral infarction after arterial thrombosis. Methods A total of 96 patients with acute cerebral infarction after arterial thrombosis who were admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from June 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into control group and study group by grouping method of random dice roll, with 48 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional care, and patients in the study group were treated with conventional care and Orem self-care. The coma, neurological impairment, and ability to take care of themselves in daily life were compared between the two groups. Results The Glasgow coma scale (GCS) scores of patients in the study group at 3, 7 and 14 days after thrombolytic therapy were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) in the study group at 24 h and 14 d after thrombolytic therapy were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Barther index (BI) scores of patients in the study group at 7 and 14 days after thrombolytic therapy were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Orem self-nursing theory to the nursing of patients with acute cerebral infarction after arterial thrombosis can effectively improve the coma of patients, reduce the degree of nerve damage, improve the self-care ability of patients.
