Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of transbronchoscopic cryotherapy combined with thermal ablation in the treatment of airway stenosis caused by lung cancer. Methods Fifty-two patients with airway stenosis caused by lung cancer treated in Central Hospital of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture from January 2020 to June 2021 were retrospectively selected as the research subjects. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into observation group(26 cases)and control group(26 cases). The observer used cryotherapy combined with thermal ablation, and the control group used thermal ablation. The clinical efficacy, shortness of breath index, Karnofsky performance score (KPS)were compared between the two groups after treatment, and surgical complications was recorded. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences in breathlessness index and KPS score between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the breathlessness indexes of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the KPS scores were higher than those before treatment, and the breathlessness index of the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the KPS score was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). No serious complications occurred in both groups. Conclusion transbronchoscopic cryotherapy combined with hot ablation in the treatment of airway stenosis caused by lung cancer can achieve satisfactory results, and it′s safe.It provides another treatment for patients who lose the opportunity of surgery or refuse surgery.
