Abstract:Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) has the obvious advantages of reducing the pain caused by repeated venipuncture, protecting the patient′s blood vessels, avoiding drug extravasation caused by stimulating drug infusion through peripheral blood, and reducing the workload of nursing staff. At present, there are three methods of dilatation in clinical practice, they are, traditional dilatation knife method, blunt separation method and small incision combined with dilator blunt separation method. Thrombocytopenia is relatively contraindicated for PICC catheterization. Therefore, in the nursing process after catheterization, it is necessary to focus on key issues such as local bleeding and petechiae at the puncture point in patients with less platelets. This paper reviews the research progress of the application of three skin expansion methods in peripherally inserted central catheter, compares and analyzes their operation steps and the amount of bleeding, puts forward the enlightenment of PICC catheterization in patients with thrombocytopenia. Small incision combined with blunt separation of expander can effectively reduce the injury and bleeding of catheterization, it can play a better therapeutic effect and has important clinical application and research significance. However, in order to make the catheterization method widely used, for the special group of people with thrombocytopenia in vivo, more in-depth clinical exploration, improvement and optimization of the operation method are needed. This paper is expected to provide reference for further clinical research.
