Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of preoperative illness uncertainty of patients with non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC).Methods A total of 150 patients who underwent excision of skin malignant tumor surgery in Shanghai Dermatology Hospital from October 2020 to March 2021 were randomly selected by convenience sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey, and the influencing factors of preoperative disease uncertainty in NMSC patients were analyzed. Results The total score of preoperative disease uncertainty scale (MUIS-A)and anxiety score of NMSC patients were (89.89±7.41) and (56.66±9.12) respectively.Preoperative MUIS-A score was positively correlated with anxiety (r=0.375, P<0.01).Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in preoperative MUIS-A scores among patients with different gender, age, education level, tumor site, previous skin cancer operation history and anxiety (P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that male (β=-3.253, OR=0.039,95%CI=-5.045 to -1.460) and previous history of skin cancer surgery (β=-4.896, OR=0.007,95%CI=-8.023 to -1.769) were protective factors for preoperative uncertainty of disease (P<0.05).Low educational level (β=6.532, OR=6.842,95%CI=3.459-9.605 ) and anxiety (β=0.113, OR=1.120,95%CI=0.010-0.216) were independent risk factors for preoperative uncertainty of disease (P<0.05).Conclusion Preoperative disease uncertainty of NMSC patients was generally at a moderate level. Therefore,in clinical nursing work,we should implement targeted preoperative health education to relieve patients′ anxiety and reduce preoperative disease uncertainty.
