Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of diversified health education methods in patients with end-stage renal disease with new abdominal transplantable catheter. Methods A total of 50 patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing new abdominal transplantable catheter admitted to our hospital from December 2013 to December 2018 were selected as the research objects, these patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was given routine health education method, while the observation group was given diversified health education method. The length of hospital stay and hospitalization expenses of the two groups were compared, and the satisfaction of patients with medical staff in the department of renal medicine was evaluated before intervention and after intervention at 3 months and 6 months. Results The length of hospital stay in the observation group after intervention was shorter than that in the control group, and the hospitalization expenses in the observation group after intervention was less than that in the control group (P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients in the two groups after intervention at 6 months was higher than that of after intervention at 3 months(P<0.01).The satisfaction of patients in the observation group at 3 and 6 months after intervention was higher than that in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Diversified health education can significantly shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce the hospitalization expenses and improve the satisfaction of patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing new abdominal transplantable catheter.
