Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing under the guidance of Omaha System in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods A total of 70 MHD patients admitted to our hospital from June to August 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, 35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and the observation group was given continuous nursing under the guidance of Omaha system. The ability of self-care, quality of life and the rate of mastering disease knowledge were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences between the two groups in the scores of self care ability scale (ESCA) and health survey summary (SF-36) before intervention (P>0.05); the score of ESCA was (117.26±10.89) points and SF-36 was (70.69±7.26) points in the observation group, which were higher than those in the control group of (95.44±10.52) points and (62.66±6.30) points, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The disease knowledge mastery rate of the observation group (94.29%) was higher than that of the control group(65.71%) after 6 months of intervention, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The continuous nursing under the guidance of Omaha system can improve the mastery of disease knowledge, self-care ability and life quality of patients with MHD, which is worthy of clinical application.
