Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of holistic nursing in Ex-PRESS drainage device anterior chamber implantation in the treatment of refractory glaucoma. Methods A total of 61 patients (61 eyes) with refractory glaucoma who were treated in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the study objects, and all patients were divided into the observation group (30 cases) and the control group (31 cases) according to the random number table method. Both groups were treated with Ex-PRESS drainage device and anterior chamber implantation.The control group patients were given routine nursing methods, and the observation group patients were given holistic nursing on the basis of the control group. The scores of anxiety and depression, the degrees of nursing satisfaction and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in the scores of anxiety and depression of the patients between the two groups before nursing(P＞0.05). The scores of anxiety and depression of patients after nursing were lower than those before nursing, the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05). The scores of anxiety and depression of the patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total satisfaction degree of nursing of the patients in the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than 74.19% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total incidence rate of complications of the patients in the observation group was 6.67%, which was lower than 25.81% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion The application effect of holistic nursing in Ex-PRESS drainage device anterior chamber implantation in the treatment of refractory glaucoma is significant, which can improve the anxiety and depression symptoms of patients, improve nursing satisfaction degree and reduce the incidence rate of complications.
