Abstract：Objective To explore the role and effect of establishing the nutrition support team to intervene Alanyl-glutamine (Ala-Gln). Methods The nutrition support team collected and analyzed case data from July 1st to December 31st 2016 according to the evaluation criteria, as the before intervention; the intervention was carried out from January 1st to June 31st 2017 to address the corresponding problems, as the after intervention. The use of Ala-Gln Injection by clinical departments before and after intervention, the consumption amount and proportion of Ala-Gln Injection, and the rational use of Ala-Gln Injection were counted. Results After intervention, the top 4 department used for Ala-Gln Injection remained unchanged compared with those before intervention, they were hepatobiliary surgery, gastroenterology,respiratory medicine and thoracic surgery, the number of use cases decreased compared with that before intervention,but the total proportion did not decrease significantly. The consumption amount of Ala-Gln Injection after intervention was lower than that before intervention, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). After intervention, the appropriate rate of drug selection, the rate of reaching the standard of final concentration, the correct rate of dilution carrier, the rate of reaching the standard of amino acid proportion and the qualified rate of nutrition prescription were higher than those before intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The number and proportion of long-term treatment case after intervention were lower than those before intervention, but there was no significant difference between before and after intervention (P＞0.05). Conclusion The intervention of the nutrition support team is conducive to improving the reasonable clinical use of Ala-Gln, and the effect is significant.
