Objective To compare the application effect of hospital multimedia training and family training in amblyopia children. Methods A total of 92 amblyopic children (163 eyes) in our hospital from October 2018 to October 2019 were selected as research subjects and divided into observation group (47 cases, 84 eyes) and control group (45 cases,79 eyes) by random number table method. Children in observation group were treated by covering therapy combined with hospital multimedia training. Children in control group were treated by covering therapy combined with family training. After 3 months, the corrected visual acuity was reexamined and the therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rates of treatment of aged 3-6 and >6-12 children in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rates of treatment of ametropic amblyopia and anisometropic amblyopia in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no difference in the total effective rate of treatment of strabismic amblyopia between two groups (P>0.05). There was no difference in the total effective rate of treatment of mild amblyopia between two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rates of treatment of moderate and severe amblyopia were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment effect of hospital multimedia training is better than family training in treating amblyopia, especially for ametropic and anisometropic amblyopia, and moderate to severe amblyopia.
