Abstract:Objective To study the effect of Edaravone on ICU acute ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy. Methods A total of 52 patients with acute ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy from January 2017 to January 2019 in our hospital′s ICU for treatment were selected as the research objects, and were divided into control group (n=26)and observation group(n=26)according to the random drawing method. The control group was treated mechanical assisted ventilation to improve the cerebral circulation and maintain the vital signs of the patients. The observation group was treated with Edaravone based on the treatment in the control group. After two courses of treatment, the treatment effect, neurological deficit scores before and after treatment and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (92.3%)was higher than that in the control group (73.1%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);before treatment and on the 7th day after treatment, the neurological deficits scores of patients in the two groups, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).On the 14th and 28th days after treatment, the neurological deficit scores of the two groups of patients were lower than those of the group before treatment, and the neurological deficit scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group on the 14th and 28th days after treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of Edaravone in the treatment of acute ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy in ICU has a good effect, can improve patients′neurological deficits and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, and has high clinical application value.
