Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of graded motor imagery therapy combined with routine occupational therapy on the quality of life of hemiplegic patients.Methods A total of 60 stroke patients with hemiplegia admitted to the First People′s Hospital of Zhaoqing City from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects,and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine occupational therapy,and the study group was treated with graded motor imagery therapy on the basis of the control group.Before treatment and 6 weeks after treatment,the two groups of patients′self-care ability of daily life(instrumental activities of daily living[IADL]),activity ability(Canadian occupational performance measure [COPM]),total quality of life (World health organization-quality of life short version[WHO-QOL-BREF]),basic quality of life(quality of life summary[SF-36])score changes were compared.Results After 6 weeks of treatment,the scores of IADL,COPM,WHO-QOL-BREF and SF-36 in the study group were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);and the scores of IADL,COPM,WHO-QOL-BREF and SF-36 in the study group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of graded motor imagination therapy combined with routine occupational therapy in hemiplegic patients with stroke is beneficial to improve patients′daily life self-care ability and activity ability,and improve the quality of life.
