Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of intra-articular injection of Sodium Hyaluronate in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods A total of 107 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as subjects and divided into the experimental group (57 cases) and the control group(50 cases) by random lottery method. The experimental group was given intra-articular injection of Sodium Hyaluronate, the control group was given oral Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules. The severity of the disease, Western Ontario and McMaster University (WOMAC) osteoarthritis index score, the synovial thickness, the level of venous tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), the visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score and the efficacy of the treatment were compared between the two groups. Results There were no statistically significant differences in severity of disease, WOMAC osteoarthritis index score, the synovial thickness, the level of venous TNF-α and VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the severity of disease, WOMAC osteoarthritis index score, the synovial thickness, the level of venous TNF-α and VAS score of experimental group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The severity of disease, WOMAC osteoarthritis index score, the synovial thickness, the level of venous TNF-α and VAS score of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate in the experimental group (94.74%) was higher than that in the control group (82.00%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion Intra-articular injection of Sodium Hyaluronate can obviously improve the symptoms of patients with knee osteoarthritis, alleviate the severity of disease, reduce pain, inflammation reaction and the thickness of synovial and has a good therapeutic effect.
