Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect, safety and economy of electrocoagulation hook combined with thread ligation to treat mesangial appendix and stump in laparoscopic appendectomy. Methods A total of 300 patients with acute and chronic appendicitis from January 2016 to December 2019 in our hospital were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the treatment group (150 cases) and the control group (150 cases) by using random number table method. The laparoscopic appendectomy surgery for appendix mesentery and stump was carried out in the treatment group by electrocoagulation hook combined with thread ligation. While in the control group, the mesenteric appendage was cut off by ultrasonic scalpel with Hem-o-lok clip or disposable wire ligation laparoscopic appendectomy surgery for appendage stumps. The various surgical indexes and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the treatment group was longer than that of the control group, and the cost of hospitalization was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the intraoperative blood loss, length of hospitalized and total incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion During the treatment of electrocoagulation hook combined with thread ligation for appendix mesentery and stump compared with ultrasonic scalpel to remove the appendix mesentery with Hem-o-lok clip or disposable ligation laparoscopic appendectomy, the application of the two resections has advantages of definite curative effect and safety. However, the former has better advantage of low cost, which is worthy of wide use in clinical promotion, especially in primary hospitals.
