Abstract：Objective To study and analyze the clinical application value of transoral vestibular surgery treatment in patients with large-size benign thyroid tumors. Methods A total of 80 patients with large-size benign thyroid tumors admitted in our hospital from October 2017 to November 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the control group (n=40) and the study group (n=40) according to block randomization. The patients in the control group were treated with total areola approach endoscopic surgery, and the patients in the study group were treated with transoral vestibular surgery. The routine operation indexes, the total incidence of postoperative complications and patients′ total satisfaction with the operation results were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the study group was (94.26±26.74) min, which was shorter than that of the control group of (131.05±39.73) min, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). There were no significant differences in in intraoperative blood loss and hospital stay between the two groups (P＞0.05). The total incidence of complications in the study group was 1.18%,which was lower than that of the control group (8.24%), the patients′ total satisfaction of the study group was 97.65%,which was higher than that of the control group (88.24%), the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Under the conditions of surgical safety, transoral vestibular surgery can further shorten the operation time, help the control of the disease, reduce the probability of postoperative complications, and the postoperative cosmetic effect is better, and the patients are more satisfied with the results of the operation.
