Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Petrolatum gauze block combined with Vitamin B12 Mixture Solution in dressing change for second-degree radiation skin injury. Methods From January to November 2019,90 patients with second-degree radiation skin injury caused by intensity-modulated radiotherapy were selected as subjects and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group used sterile gauze block soaked with Vitamin B12 Mixture Solution for wet compress, and the observation group was added with Petrolatum gauze block on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, pain scores, and epidermal cytokine(vascular endothelial growth factor[VEGF],transforming growth factor-β[TGF-β1],basic fibroblast growth factor[bFGF])levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups of patients after treatment]expression. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment for 15 and 30 minutes, the numerical grading method (NRS)pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment for 3 days, the levels of VEGF,TGF-β1 and bFGF in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Petrolatum gauze block combined with Vitamin B12 Mixture Solution has a good application effect in the second-degree radiation skin injury dressing change, which can effectively relieve the pain of patients, promote skin tissue recovery, and regulate the expression of epidermal cytokines.
