SWOT analysis and development strategy for non-drug health-maintaining methods facing extinction in ancient books under the background of new times

Abstract:Lots of health-maintaining methods have been recorded in ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine,many of which have been inherited and contributed to disease control and prevention in history.However,due to the particularity of ancient books,many other efficacious health-maintaining knowledge and methods remain undiscovered and are in danger of extinction.This article adopts the SWOT analysis method to deeply analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of non-drug health-maintaining methods in ancient books under the background of the new era.The results show that the future development of non-drug health-maintaining methods that are in danger of extinction will coexist with opportunities and challenges.Advantages should be used and disadvantages should be avoided under the guidance of national policies,to explore cultural connotations,strive for the protection of intangible cultural heritage,and realize multi-dimensional rescue,sorting,excavation and practice of health-maintaining methods on the basis of scientific evaluation,give full play to characteristic functional advantages,and combine the characteristics of the times,innovate and compile non-drug health-maintaining methods facing extinction,develop and expand the mass base,and strengthen scientific research,professional publicity and promotion.
