Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of lightwand-assisted trachea cannula in emergency patients with difficult airway. Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 40 patients with difficult airway in emergency endotracheal intubation in Yanghe First Hospital from January 2020 to June 2021, the endotracheal intubation method was divided into lightwand-assisted group (n=20) and ordinary laryngoscope group (n=20). The lightwand-assisted group used lightwand-assisted oral blind insertion endotracheal intubation, the common laryngoscope group used “Macintosh”laryngoscope oral bright vision endotracheal intubation. The success rate, the intubation time and the occurence of complications of the two groups were compared. Results The success rate of the first, the second success rate and the total success rate of the lightwand-assisted group were higher than the ordinary laryngoscope group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The first time, the second time and the mean time of the lightwand-assisted group were shorter than the ordinary laryngoscope group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the lightwand-assisted group was lower than the ordinary laryngoscope group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion When encountering difficult airways in emergency rescue treatment, the lightwand-assisted endotracheal intubation method is economical easy to learn, short in time, high in success rate, and small in damage, It has the advantages of clinical promotion and use.
