Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Sodium Valproate combined with Levetiracetam in the treatment of epilepsy. Methods A total of 80 patients with epilepsy in Anshan Cancer Hospital from June 2018 to June 2020 were selected and divided into control group (40 cases)and intervention group (40 cases)according to the random lottery method. The control group was treated with Sodium Valproate alone, and the intervention group was treated with Sodium Valproate and Levetiracetam. The efficacy, seizure, quality of life and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the number of seizures in the intervention group was less than that of the control group, the duration was shorter than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of physical function, cognitive function, psychological function and overall function in the intervention group after treatment were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of Sodium Valproate and Levetiracetam in patients with epilepsy has a significant effect, which can effectively reduce the number and duration of epileptic seizures, reduce adverse reactions, and has high safety, which is beneficial to the recovery of patients. To improve its quality of life, it is worthy of popularization and application.
