Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine foot bath in patients with isolated systolic hypertension (ISH). Methods A total of 100 ISH patients who were admitted to Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital from May 2018 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional antihypertensive drug treatment, and the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine foot bath treatment on the basis of the control group. The effective rate and changes of blood pressure were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The systolic blood pressures and diastolic blood pressures in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine foot bath in ISH patients can not only improve the effective rate of treatment, but also relieve the patient's blood pressure, which is worthy of clinical application.
