Abstract:Objective To explore the application of electroacupuncture combined with psychological counseling in the treatment of gastric emptying disorder after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). Methods A total of 40 patients with postoperative gastric emptying disorder after PD who were admitted to the First People′s Hospital of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province from April 2016 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 20 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional Western medicine treatment, and the observation group was given electroacupuncture combined with psychological counseling on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, gastrointestinal function recovery, gastrointestinal tube removal time and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of observation group (95.00%) was higher than that of control group (65.00%), the time of first anal exhaust ([3.06±0.59]d), bowel sound recovery ([4.16±0.74] d), first defecation ([7.75±2.04] d), gastric tube removal ([10.73±1.02] d), hospital stay ([21.24±3.16] d) were shorter than those of the control group ([5.13±1.76], [7.25±1.17], [10.82±2.63], [15.24±2.96],[30.48±4.72] d], the average gastric fluid volume ([713.43±17.52] ml/d) was lower than that of the control group([868.61±21.40] ml/d), the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture combined with psychological counseling can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with gastric emptying disorder after PD, improve clinical efficacy, and shorten hospital stay.
