Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Esomeprazole combined with Trimebutin Maleate in the treatment of geriatric gastroesophageal reflux disease. Methods A total of 84 patients with geriatric gastroesophageal reflux disease admitted to Longgang Central Hospital of Shenzhen City from February 2018 to February 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the study group (42 cases) and the control group (42 cases) according to random number table method. The study group was treated with Esomeprazole combined with Trimebutin Maleate, while the control group was treated with Esomeprazole monotherapy. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.Symptom score, quality of life score, gastroscopic efficacy, the level of serum motilin and gastrin-17 were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results There were no statistical significance in the symptom scores and quality of life scores of the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, symptom score of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, quality of life score of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the symptom score of the study group was lower than the control group, quality of life score of the study group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the total effective rate under gastroscopy in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the levels of serum motilin and serum gastrin-17 between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum motilin in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the levels of serum gastrin-17 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the level of serum motilin in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the level of serum gastrin-17 in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Esomeprazole combined with Trimebutin Maleate in the treatment of geriatric gastroesophageal reflux disease is effective, which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms, improve the quality of life.
