Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of noninvasive ventilator intermittent positive pressure breathing therapy on blood gas index and ventilation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory failure. Methods A total of 84 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory failure admitted to Ganzhou Fifth People′s Hospital from February 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional noninvasive ventilator continuous ventilation, and the observation group was treated with noninvasive ventilator intermittent positive pressure breathing therapy. The blood gas index, complications and cardiac function of the two groups were compared. Results There were no statistically significances in blood gas indexes between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, the partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) and oxygen saturation (SaO2) in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) in the arterial blood in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,PaO2 and SaO2 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and PaCO2 was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no statistically significances in cardiac function indexes between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) was lower than that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The LVEF of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group, and the BNP was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory failure, noninvasive ventilator intermittent positive pressure breathing therapy can not only improve the blood gas index, but also improve the cardiac function, and effectively control the complications.
