Effect and safety of high-intensity focused ultrasound in the treatment of uterine incision pregnancy

Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in the treatment of uterine incision pregnancy. Methods A total of 130 patients undergoing uterine incision pregnancy who were treated in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Second People′s Hospital of Jiulongpo District of Chongqing City from December 2015 to December 2018 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into the control group (65 cases) and the observation group (65 cases) according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with uterine artery embolization,and the observation group was treated with HIFU.Perioperative indicators,β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) levels,and adverse events were compared between the two groups of patients. Results The time to return to normal β-HCG,the number of hospital stays in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and vaginal bleeding in the observation group was less than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 5 days of treatment,the blood β-HCG level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion HIFU is effective in treating uterine incision pregnancy,it can shorten the length of hospital stay,reduce vaginal bleeding,promote the recovery of blood β-HCG levels,and reduce the incidence of postoperative adverse events,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
