Objective To explore the clinical effect of electroacupuncture at the four points of the mastoid process and Methylcobalamin in patients with idiopathic tinnitus.Methods A total of 90 patients with idiopathic tinnitus admitted in Shandong Chronic Disease Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and they were divided into the study group (45 cases)and the control group (45 cases).The control group was treated with Methylcobalamin,and the study group was treat with electroacupuncture combined with Methylcobalamin.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,tinnitus degree,and adverse reactions in both groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups after treatment was lower than those before treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the study group after treatment were lower than those of the control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).The scores of the tinnitus evaluation questionnaire (TEQ)and tinnitus handicap inventory (THI)of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,the TEQ and THI scores of the study group after treatment were lower than those of the control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture at the four points of the mastoid process and Methylcobalamin treatment for patients with idiopathic tinnitus is relatively high.It can effectively reduce the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,alleviate the degree of tinnitus,and do not increase adverse reactions.
