Application effect analysis of total quality management in the quality improvement of the first page of inpatient medical records in the background of diagnosis-intervention packet

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of total quality management in the quality improvement of the first page of inpatient medical records under the background of diagnosis-intervention packet (DIP).Methods A total of 1 346 inpatient medical records before and after total quality management in Longyan First Hospital from 2021 to 2022 were selected as the research objects.In the context of DIP,the incidence of defects in patient cost information,diagnosis and treatment information,hospitalization process information and basic information on the first page of inpatient medical records before and after the implementation of total quality management was compared,as well as the pass rate of major diagnosis,other diagnosis,major surgical operation,and other surgical operation filling and coding.Results In the context of DIP,the incidences of defects in cost information,diagnosis and treatment information,hospitalization process information and basic information on the first page of medical records was lower than those before total quality management,and the pass rates of main diagnosis,other diagnosis,major surgical operation,and other surgical operation filling and coding on the first page of medical records were higher than those before total quality management,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of total quality management in the quality improvement of the first page of inpatient medical records under the background of DIP can effectively reduce the incidence of information defects on the first page of patient medical records and improve the pass rates of disease diagnosis,surgical procedure filling and coding on the first page of medical records,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
