Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of narrative management on the occupational value identification and negative emotions of nursing staffs in emergency department.Methods A total of 86 nursing staffs working in the Department of Emergency of Jiujiang University Affiliated Hospital from May 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively selected as the research objects,and 43 nursing staffs received routine management from May 2020 to May 2021 were set as the control group,43 nursing staffs who received narrative management from June 2021 to June 2022 were included in the observation group.The sense of professional value,negative emotion,professional self-efficacy and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there were no significant differences in occupational value identity,negative emotion and occupational self-efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention,the scores of nurses professional values scale-reviced (NPVS-R)in all dimensions of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the scores of self-rating depression scale (SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)were lower than those of the control group,and the scores of nursing students in all dimensions of the professional self-efficacy scale were higher than those of the control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of narrative management in emergency department nursing staffs can effectively enhance occupational self-efficacy,improve the sense of professional value,reduce negative emotions,and obtain higher nursing satisfaction.
