Abstract:Thoracic and lumbar osteoporotic compression fracture is a common orthopedic disease, this disease brings a lot of pain to patients, seriously affecting the quality of life, vertebroplasty has been very extensive in the treatment of this disease, most patients can be relieved of pain symptoms, get out of bed as soon as possible, but also encounter some cases with poor postoperative efficacy. This article introduces 1 case of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture patients undergoing vertebroplasty treatment process, the first surgery is not effective, the patient's low back pain is not relieved, and then re-examined MRI.It was found that some of the bone cement was not dispersed to still have edema signals, and considered the possible reason for the poor efficacy as the poor filling and diffuse site of bone cement. After discussion, performed contralateral pedicle puncture and bone cement injection of the same vertebral body again, and the lower back pain was relieved after the second operation. The treatment process of this case suggests that only observe the distribution of cement by intraoperative C-arm machine fluoroscopy, because X-rays are generally only fluoroscopy in the positive lateral position, which may cause misjudgment.
