Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of problem-originated clinical medical curriculum (PCMC) combined and problem-based learning (PBL) in nursing teaching of cardiovascular surgery. Methods A total of 50 nursing students who practiced in cardiovascular surgery in Chongqing hospital of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects, they were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 25 in each group. The control group was taught by routine nursing teaching method, and the observation group was taught by PCMC and PBL. The problem-solving ability, graduation theory and operation assessment results and teaching satisfaction of nursing students in the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the total score of problem-solving ability and the scores of each dimension between the two groups at the time of admission (P>0.05). The total score of problem-solving ability and the scores of each dimension of the two groups at the time of graduation were higher than those at the time of admission, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). At graduation, the total score of problem-solving ability and the scores of each dimension, the scores of graduation theory and operation assessment, and the scores of teaching satisfaction of nursing students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of PCMC and PBL in cardiovascular surgery nursing teaching can optimize the quality of cardiovascular surgery practice teaching, promote the improvement of nursing students′ theoretical knowledge level and operation practice ability, and improve nursing students′ problem-solving ability and satisfaction with teaching.
