Exploration and practice of pharmacognosy project teaching method based on innovation and entrepreneurship education

Abstract:Colleges and universities pay more and more attention to the innovation and entrepreneurship education of college students in the process of talent training. Improving the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students has become the focus of college teaching reform. Pharmacognosy is an important professional course for pharmacy and pharmaceutical engineering. It mainly describes the name, source, production, processing, identification, chemical constituents and medical use of crude drugs. It is divided into two parts: general and monographs. The content of monographs is scattered and complex. It′s difficult for conventional teaching methods to cultivate students′ interest in learning. Pharmacognosy is highly applicable and practical, and involves a wide range of disciplines. Integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into the pharmacognosy teaching can produce innovative projects with practical value.This article proposes to combine innovation and entrepreneurship education with pharmacognosy course teaching, connect scattered pharmacognosy knowledge through project teaching method, comprehensively expound the implementation plan of project teaching method and the select of innovation project. This kind of project teaching method can effectively increase the interest and innovation of teaching, stimulate students′ potential for independent learning, consolidate the foundation of students′ pharmacognosy, encourage students to flexibly apply their professional knowledge to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship.
