Application effect on the Modified Shengji Yuhong Ointment combined with foam dressing for elderly patients with pressure ulcers

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of the Modified Shengji Yuhong Ointment combined with foam dressing for elderly patients with pressure ulcers.Methods A total of 70 elderly patients with pressure ulcer admitted to the Department of Surgery of Qidong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Department of Surgery of Rugao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2018 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number method,they were divided into the control group (35 cases)and the treatment group (35 cases).Patients in the control group were given conventional dressing change method on the basis of conventional treatment,while patients in the treatment group were given Modified Shengji Yuhong Ointment combined with foam dressing.The clinical treatment effect,pressure ulcer wound healing time and dressing change times were compared between the two groups.The wound scores and wound area before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rates of stage 2 and stage 3 pressure ulcer patients in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜0.05).The healing time of pressure ulcers in treatment group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜0.05).The frequency of dressing change in the treatment group was less than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the wound scores(granulation morphology score and pain score) and wound area of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The wound scores(granulation morphology score,pain score)and wound area of the treatment group were less than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The Modified Shengji Yuhong Ointment combined with foam dressing in the treatment of pressure ulcer in elderly patients is effective,which can accelerate wound healing,reduce wound pain and improve the treatment effect.
