Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of core muscle training based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) on the rehabilitation of patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods A total of 160 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to Guangdong 999 Brain Hospital from February to December 2019 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 80 cases in each group. The control group used routine nursing care, and the observation group used core muscle training under the ERAS concept on this basis. The postoperative complication rate, compliance with functional exercise and recovery of lumbar spine function were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).At discharge and 3 months after discharge, the observation group′s functional exercise compliance score was higher than that of the control group, and the Oswestry disabilitv index (ODI) score was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no statistically significances between the functional exercise compliance scores and ODI scores of the two groups before intervention (P>0.05).Conclusion The core muscle group training based on the ERAS concept can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative complications in patients with lumbar disc herniation, improve patients′ functional exercise compliance, and promote the recovery of lumbar spine function.
