Diagnostic value of peripheral blood circular RNA CDR1as in atherosclerosis

Objective To investigate the expression difference of circular RNA CDR1as in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with atherosclerosis(AS)and its possible clinical significance.Methods Twenty patients with AS who visited the Hongqi Hospital Affiliated To Mudanjiang Medical University from September 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects,and twenty healthy subjects who visited the clinic during the same period were selected as the control.Peripheral blood mononuclear cells of the two groups were detected by Real-time quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction.CDR1as expression level,and establish a receiver operating characteristic curve to evaluate the diagnostic value of CDR1as for AS.Results The expression level of CDR1as in the peripheral blood of the AS patient group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The area under the curve of CDR1as for AS diagnostic performance was 0.827(P<0.05),and the sensitivity and specificity were 70% and 85%,respectively.Conclusion The expression of circular RNA CDR1as in the peripheral blood of AS patients is significantly reduced;the expression level of CDR1as in the peripheral blood has a certain diagnostic value for AS,and may become a new molecular marker of AS.
