Abstract:Objective To explore the factors influencing the development of kidney stones based on the dietary inflammatory index (DII) analysis. Methods A total of 192 patients with kidney stones diagnosed with the urology center of the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from August 2020 to July 2021 were selected as the stone group, and 192 participants with healthy physical examination in the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region during the same period were selected as the non-stone group. The gender, age, body mass index,DII score and other factors were compared between the two groups to analyze the influencing factors of kidney stone incidence. Results DII scores of all participants were 0.91 (-4.36,4.85),and the pro-inflammatory diet participants in the stone group(DII>0.91) were more than those in the non-stone group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The result of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in energy intake, smoking or not, drinking or not, water intake and DII score between the stone group and the non-stone group (P<0.05).The result of multifactorial logistic regression analysis showed that energy intake (β=0.622,OR=1.980,95%CI=1.631-5.019),body mass index>28 kg/m2 (β=0.854,OR=2.349,95%CI=1.328-4.155) and DII score>0.91 (β=0.544,OR=1.740,95%CI=1.126-2.687) were risk factors for the development of kidney stones.Water intake>2 000 ml/d (β=-0.885,OR=0.413,95%CI=0.199-0.856) was protective factors for the development of kidney stones. Conclusion It is suggested that the population should adjust their diet to a low DII state,namely,anti-inflammatory diet.Meanwhile,it is suggested that the population should control their body mass index and increase their water intake to>2 000 ml/d,which may play an important role in the prevention of kidney stones.
