Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) in patients with malignant tumor treated by peripherally inserted central venous catheter (PICC).Methods A total of 80 patients with malignant tumors treated in the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Chongqing University from January 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received nursing intervention based on FMEA.The occurrence of deep vein thrombosis, blood flow velocity before and after nursing and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of deep vein thrombosis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the maximum and average axillary blood flow velocity between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05).After nursing, the maximum and average axillary blood flow velocity of the two groups were faster than those before nursing, and the observation group was faster than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The overall nursing satisfaction of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the total nursing satisfaction was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion FMEA nursing intervention can effectively improve axillary blood flow velocity, prevent deep venous thrombosis and improve nursing satisfaction of patients with malignant tumor after PICC catheter chemotherapy.
