Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of one-time root canal therapy in dental pulp disease. Methods From May 2019 to December 2020, 64 patients with dental pulp disease admitted to the Department of Stomatology,Shuyang Hospital were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group (32 cases, 37 teeth)and control group (32 cases, 36 teeth) by random number table method. The observation group received one-time root canal treatment, and the control group received multiple root canal treatment. The total effective rate, pain, changes of inflammatory factors and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.87%, which was higher than 78.13% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The visual analogue scale (VAS) score of pain 1 day, 1 week and 1 month after treatment in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.26%, which was lower than 28.14% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion One-time root canal therapy for patients with dental pulp disease can promote the improvement of the total effective rate of treatment, and plays an important role in relieving pain sensation and reducing inflammatory factor indicators, and has fewer complications and is more effective. security,so it is worthy of popular use.
