Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of quality of life in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome (OSAHS). Methods From January 2016 to October 2020, 46 patients with OSAHS in the Department of Otolaryngology of Nantong Tongzhou People′s Hospital were selected as the research object. The quality of life-obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome (QOL-OSAHS) scale was used to evaluate the quality of life of patients, the score of the scale was observed, and the influencing factors affecting the quality of life of OSAHS patients was analyzed. Results The QOL-OSAHS scores of 46 patients were excellent in 1 case, good in 6 cases, fair in 14 cases and poor in 25 cases. The excellent rate of quality of life was 15.22%, and the poor rate of quality of life was 54.35%. Univariate analysis showed that there were no significant differences in gender, age, culture, marriage, smoking history, drinking history, smoking and alcohol history, family snoring history and disease course (P>0.05). There were significant differences in body mass index, chronic history of respiratory system and the severity of the disease (P<0.05). The results of multivariate linear regression analysis showed that overweight and obesity, chronic respiratory history and moderate and severe disease were independent risk factors for the quality of life of OSAHS patients (P<0.05). Conclusion OSAHS patients generally have low quality of life, which is related to factors such as excessive weight, severity of illness, and respiratory chronic disease. Strengthening the comprehensive treatment and intervention of OSAHS has a positive effect on improving the quality of life of patients.
