Application effect of intelligent dispensing mode in the inpatient pharmacy

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of intelligent dispensing mode in the inpatient pharmacy. Methods Information related to drug dispensing in the Inpatient Pharmacy of Peking University Sixth Hospital from July to December 2020 was selected as the study population, and drug dispensing under the traditional dispensing mode from July to September 2020 was selected as the control group (n=67 864), drug dispensing under the intelligent dispensing mode from October to December 2020 was selected as the study group (n=74 308), 50 inpatients were included in each group for satisfaction survey. The total incidence of error events, single-dose dispensing time and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total incidence of error events in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the single-dose transfer time in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and patient satisfaction in the study group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of intelligent dispensing mode in inpatient pharmacy is effective and can effectively improve the quality of drug dispensing, work efficiency and patient satisfaction. It is in line with the development trend of pharmacy informatization and automation.
