Objective To study the clinical efficacy and safety of locking compression plate in the treatment of limb fractures. Methods A total of 200 patients with limb fractures admitted to Shuangqiao Hospital of Chaoyang District in Beijing from December 2018 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects, and divided into observation group and control group by computer randomly, with 100 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional compression plate internal fixation, and the observation group was treated with locking compression plate. The operative time, intraoperative blood loss and fracture healing time of the two groups were compared. The total effective rate of the two groups was compared. The incidence of complications was compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and fracture healing time of observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was less than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Locking compression plate has high clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of limb fractures. It can significantly improve the total effective rate, reduce complications, promote fracture healing and reduce bleeding.
